Esperanza helps Marta in this chapter by helping her get away from the platform without someone noticing it was her. I know this because on page 209 it says, "When you leave, put on the apron and carry the asparagus so you'll look like a worker, just in case anyone stops you."This proves my answer because it tells you that Esperanza disguised Marta so she could get away from he platform. Esperanza should have helped Marta because even though she was mean and was a striker, she was just trying to help feed and take care of her family. I know this because on page 208 it says "She whispered, please, Esperanza. Don't tell. I can't get caught. I must take care of my mother."Esperanza's reason for helping Marta was "No one should have to be seperated from her family."Esperanza has experienced what it is like to be seperated from her mother and she must think Marta feels the same sadness and worry when she is seperated from her mother. I wonder if Marta was caught or not.

Esperanza helps Marta in this chapter by helping her get away from the work place. Page 209 it says, "When you leave, put on the apron and carry the asparagus so you'll look like a worker, just in case anyone stops you." This quote proves me because it says that Esperanza helps Marta escape. I guess Esperanza should have helped Marta even though Marta was a big JERK!!!!!! Esperanza saves Marta because she, like Esperanza is just trying to feed her family. The experience that has helped ESperanza like Marta more was when she saw her mother and got really happy.

Esperanza helps Marta by making sure nobody saw her on the platform. Finally she shows a little more respect towards another!! This qoute proves my answer, page 209 "When you leave,
put on the apron and carry the asparagus so you look like a worker, just incase anyone stops you." I say that she should've helped Marta and she shouldn't have helped Marta. I say this because when she did help Marta, Marta was able to steal food for the families that need it. If she didn't they would just be as hungry as they always were. Not that thats right but it also isn't right if she just took the vegetables. If no one knew about it, then she would just keep taking and taking. If I were Esperanza I would tell Marta to STOP! (she probably wouldn't listen, but it's worth trying.) I mean, take it from someone who has a life!!(ME!!) I think Esperanza did it without knowing because most of the time she does stuff without thinking!! But also because
she cared. I think that earlier Marta was just a snotty girl, but then she turns into a striker. Alot
of things changed in the past two chapters. But me? I'm don't know what to think of Marta. If we're up
...she's down. If we're warm she's cold.

Esperanza helps Marta by giving her things to disguise herself as a worker and sneak away. It states this on page 209 when it says "She handed the asparagus to Marta. When you leave put on the apron and carry the asparagus so you'll look like a worker just in case anyone stops you." That proves Esperanza helped Marta to escape. I think Esperanza was right to go help Marta because now Marta likes Esperanza and thinks she is nice. I know this because on page 209 it says "Gracias whispered Marta. Im sorry I misjudged you." Esperanza's reason for helping Marta is stated on page 211 when it says "She couldn't stop thinking about Marta.... No one should have to be separated from her family." Esperanza has experienced being away from her mother and she probably thinks Marta feels the same way so she helps her. I wonder if Marta will help Esperanza now that Esperanza helped her?

Esperanza helps Marta by not telling anyone about her hiding from the people who deport strikers. "She quietly wandered back to Marta's hiding place." (page 209) This proves my answer because it says, "Marta's hiding place." I think it was good that Esperanza helped Marta because she shouldn't be seperated from her mother. Esperanza's reason for helping Marta was because she couldn't imagine Marta and her mother being seperated. "But then she thought about Marta and her Mother holding hands, and couldn't imagin them being separated from each other." (page 208) Helping Marta escape from the people who would take her away changed the way Esperanza thought about her. It changed how I thought about her too.

Esperanza helps Marata in this chapter by not telling anyone where she was hiding, and giving her an apron and asparagus to diguise as one of the workers.I know this because on page 208 it says, "Marta was huddled in a corner, holding a finger to her lips, her eyes begging for help."

Esperanza was being very loyal she could have tattle-taled on Marta, then Marta could have been thrown onto the streets without her mother. By that point, I think Esperanza SHOULDN'T HAVE told on Marta. I think it is fair that Marta expressed how she felt, and Esperanza shouldn't have taken it offensivly. Esperanza reason for helping Marta was because she felt that Marta was innoncent, she also thought of Ada and Marta holding hands, and how depressed they would be if they were torn apart.I wouldn't even be able to IMAGINE being away from my mom like that. Some experiences Esperanza has lived through that made her think about Marta differently is when she saw how much Marta and Ada loved and cared for eachother.
Even for Esperanza, who's life has been a steep, turny, bumpy, road she couldn't stand to see them apart.
I have a few questions:
?#1:
Will Tio Luis and Tio Marco ever come back into the story?
?#2
Will Mama pass away like papa?
?#3
Will Abuelita ever come to California?
?#4
Did Tio Luis and Tio Marco kill papa?
?#5
Will Esperanza always be misrable?
?#6
What will happen with Marta and Ada?

(I know I got carried away with the questions, there was a little more then "A Few" but there are questions that have never been answered, or haven't yet!)

When you leave, put on the apron and carry the asparagus so you'll look like a worker, just in case anyone stops you." Yes, Esperanza should've helped Marta because she is only trying to get food for her family. On page 208 it says, "Please, Esperanza. Don't tell. I can't get caught. I must take care of my mother. I think Esperanza won't tell because she knows what it is like to have a mother that is ill. Esperanza's reason for helping Marta is "No one should have to be separated from her family" (pg. 211) and as I said earlier Esperanza knows what it's like to be seperated from your family. An experience that made Esperanza think differently about Marta is that her mother is also very sick. In this chapter Esperanza has a whole new perspective of Marta.

Esperanza helped Marta by telling Marta how to disguise herself to look like a worker so she won't be recognized. I know this because on pg.209 it says, "When you leave, put on tee apron and carry that asparagus so you'll look like a worker, just in case anyone stops you." This proves my answer because it tells the reader that Esperanza is telling Marta how to disguise herself as a worker. I don't think Esperanza should've helped Marta but I don't think she should tell the immigration that Marta was hiding at the back of the dock. I don't think Esperanza should've helped Marta because if Marta gets caught, Marta might tell the immigration that Esperanza helped her and then Esperanza would be in lots of trouble. The reason Esperanza helped Marta is because she thought that no one should be separated from their family. I know this because on pg.211 it says, "No one should be separated from her family." I agree with #17. I think that since Esperanza is separated from her mother she might think that Marta felt the same and so she helped her.

I just realized something and I would like to share it. When we first learned about Esperanza, she was a rude annoying person. When we first learned about Marta, she was a rude annoying person. Now, they're both actually not as rude any more because they are caring about others, not jut for themselves. I also have a prediction: I predict that since Esperanza helped Marta, I think they will become friends(if Marta hasn't been caught or if Ada hasn't been caught).

Esperanza helps Marta in this chapter by not telling anyone that Marta is hidding in the maze of crates. Esperanza also helped Marta get out and blend in with the workers so that she would not get sent back on the buses, also. I know this because on page 209 it says, "When you leave, put on the apron and carry the asparagus so you'll look like a worker, just in case anyone stops you." I think Esperanza was right for helping Marta because even though Marta was mean and was involved in striking with the others, that does not mean Esperanza should not be nice to her and help her out. Esperanza helped Marta because she felt that no one should be seperated from their family...no matter what. Esperanza could relate to Marta so this helped to make her decision. Esperanza's experience that helped her was that both her and Marta have been seperated from their mothers. It made Esperanza think back to when she saw Marta and her mother holding hands walking down the street. I guess her heart told her what to do. Esperanza has grown tremendously to be able to know in her heart that it was right to help Marta in her time of need!

Esperanza helps Marta in this chapter by making sure no one will suspect her of sriking. I know this because on pg.209 it says, "When you leave, put on this aperon and carry the asparagus so you'll look like a worker, just ion case anyone stops you." this quote proves my answer because it tells you how Esperanza helped Marta. Esperanza should have helped Marta because Marta is a citizen and has every right to be in America. Esperanza's reason for helping Marta is that she remembered Marta and her mother holding hands and she didn't want to tear them apart. Also, Marta is a citizen and has every right to be in America. Marta thinks differently about Marta because Marta thinks she is not mean, so Esperanza dosen't either.

Esperanza helped marta by telling her to "put on the apron and carry the asparagus so you'll look like a worker, just in case anyone stops you." (p. 209). This proves my answer because she went back to her camp, and was on her way with memories that would give any kid nightmares for months on end. Anza made the right choice because you should help somebody who needs help, even if that person's heart has two categories, her mother and people's pain, Marta! Esperanza helped Marta because "They had every right to be here." (p. 209) and her friends and family were taken by "La Migra" when they were just trying to get more money to feed their families. When Anza saw Marta and her mother holding hands, her mind changed about her because she thought "hmmm, maybe she isn't the greedy, caniving rattlesnake (no reference to the snake in the crate) that stepped all over me when I was just trying to adjust to the lifestyle of a poor CAMPESINA!!!!!!"

Here are my answers:
Esperanza helped Marta in this chapter. She did so by helping Marta leave without having any aquaitances notice her going out. (Thanks #17 for the following qoute.)
On page 209, Pam states: "When you leave, put on the apron and carry the asparagaus so you'll look like a worker, just in case anyone stops you." This shows how she attempted (and suceeded, for that matter) to sneak Marta away from the platform. It was kind of Anza to help Marta, thinking back to how mean she used to be. She had a rude attitude towards everyone and everything! Ooh! Nice anologies, #6! (Just noticed them!) So, yes Esperanza should have helped Marta, she knows how Marta is feeling... she MUST go care for her family! This is her reason for helping Marta out. The experiences that have helped Anza think SO differently abot Marta, is mainly this one and the one where Anza and Miguel kindly offered Ada and Marta a ride back to their "home".
Good job, #6!

In this chapter Esperanza assists Marta by helping her escape the platform as it shows on page 209When you leave, put on the apron and carry the asparagus so you'll look like a worker, just in case anyone stops you."This shows my answer because it shows how Anza gets Marta safely out.Anza should have helped Marta because we saw her kind side an lives a life so difficult i see why she acts so mean.Anza saw Martas good side and relised as black and cold as her heart may seem it has color warmth somewhere.Anza felt the pain of being away from Mama and understands the pain more than many would.

Marta in the first place was VERY lucky that she wasn't caught by the guards! Esparanza found her hiding in a corner while she was searching for some rubber bands.(That can be found on page 208.) She was gracious enough to not tell anyone about Marta and secretly help her by giving her a worker's apron and an asparagus so she would blend-in as she left the platform. I know this because on page 209 it says,"When you leave, put on the apron and carry the asparagus so you'll look like a worker, just in case anyone stops you." Yes, I think Esparanza should have helped Marta because it is the right thing to do- no matter how Marta treated her! Esparanza's reason for helping Marta because she thought know one should be separated from their families- no matter if people disagreed with them or not. (Page 211.) I think the experience when Marta's mother said she was praying for Esparanza's mother made Esparanza think differently about her because she realized there was at least a LITTLE bit of good inside Marta's blood!

Esperanza helped Marta in this chapter by not telling anyone where she was, and also giving her an apron and some asparagus to make her look like a worker so she make it across the platform. The proof of this statement is on page 209 where it says, "When you leave put on the apron and carry the asparagus so you'll look like a worker, just in case anyone stops you." I think it is good that Esperanza helped Marta because if she didn't Marta and her mother would be seperated; I wouldn't like to see them be seperated, and I don't think Marta would either. The proof of this statement is on page 208 where it says, "But then she thought about Marta and her mother holding hands, and couldn't imagine them being seperated from each other." Esperanza's reason for helping Mama is that she thinks know family should be seperated so she helped Marta in her time of need. One experience that has helped Esperanza think differently about Marta is that when she helped Marta once it changed Esperanza's whole perspective on Marta. It also changed how I thought about her too. Thanks #4 for those words. I agree with you.

Esperanza helps Marta in this chapter by getting her across the platform. Esperanza should not have helped Marta because Marta is always mean to Esperanza [or Anza.]Marta thinks that she is better than everyone. The experiences that made Esperanza think differently about Marta is that when Esperanza first got to America she was getting bullied by Marta. Next, when Marta was going on strike she was getting nicer by saying, that Esperanza should be careful because there was alot of things that she could die from. Finally, Marta doesn't really even bother Esperanza anymore and is a lot nicer.

I chose this quote becuase it specificly proves my answer. I'm not positive because I'm kinda 50/50so Iwould just do the right thing and help her. Ezpo chose to help her because she decided thgat no one should have to be seperated from their family-she would know because she recently found that she couldn't bewith her mother. Also, she lost Papa and Abuelita's so far away.

Esperanza helped Marta by giving her an apron and asparagus to look like a worker, in order to not get sent back to Mexico because of the strike. I know this because on page209 it says, " She handed the apron and the asparagus to Marta. " When you leave, put on the apron and carry the asparagus so you'll look like a worker just in case anyone stops you." This proves my answer by stating Esperanza disguised Marta. Esperanza should have helped Marta because even though Marta was mean, it was still the right thing to do. Esperanza's reason for helping Marta is that she didn't want Marta and her mother to be seperated. Experiences have helped Esperanza think differntly about Marta because Esperanza didn't want to Marta to be seperated from her mother just like Esperanza.

I know this because on pg209 it says "When you leave, put on the apron and carry the esparagus so you'll look like a worker, just in case anyone stops you this disguised Marta so she doesn't get sent to Mexico. Ezperanza was right to help Marta because even though Marta was a striker she was just trying to get more money. The reason Esperanza helped Marta is because the deservered the rightful working conditions + Marta has the freedom of speech and doesn't deserve to be sent to Mexico. Esperanza expierienced being away from home so she knows what it's like so she helped Marta escape.

Esperanza helps marta in this chaptert by keeping it a secret that Marta was in the crate. Plus not telling state officals she was there. I know this because on page 208-209 it says " Marta wwas hudeled in a corner, holding her finger lips, her eyes begging for help. She whispered "Please, Esperanza. Don't tell. I cant get caught. I must take care of my mother." Esperanza stood there frozen for a moment, remembering marta's meanness that first day in the truck. If she helped her and someone found out, Esperanza would be on the next bus herselfe. She couldn't risk it and started to say no. But then she thought about Marta and her mother holding hands, and couldn't imagine them being seperated from each other. And besides, they were both sitisenes anyway. They had every right to be here. She turned around and headed back to were the others were working. Esperanza helps Marta in this chapter because she knows she is a citisen and has every right to be here. Esperanza helps Marta in this chapter when Esperanza finds Marta in her hiding place and didn't expose her. I feel that she did the right thing because even though, Marta has been mean to her, she really deserves to remain in the United States since she is an American citizen. A quote that proves my answer is on page 209 the it says "She handed the apron and the asparagus to Marta. When you leave, put on the apron and carry the asparagus so you'll look like a worker, just in case anybody stops you." This proves my answer because this shows you exactly how Esperanza thought of a smart plan to help Marta. I think Esperanza should have helped Marta because even though she was mean to Esperanza the first day, she is an American citizen and has every right to live in the United States and shouldn't be sent to Mexico when she has never been there. Esperaza's reason for helping Marta was that Marta and her mother were both citizens of America that either one of them deserved to be sent back to Mexico when either of them have been to Mexico. When Esperanza could have been separated from Mama if Mama married Tio Luis, she decided not to separate Marta from her Mama when they love each other so much. I think this was the right thing to do because she wouldn't want to be sepaated from Mama and Marta wouldn't like to be separated from her Mama. That is why I think it was a great thing that Esperanza didn't expose Marta when clearly Marta or Marta's mother want to loose their jobs and go to Mexico, a country they have never been to in their entire life.

This proves my answer becuase it shows that Espersnza has decided not to tell on Marta. Esperanza should have saved Marta becuase Marta, though she was mean, only wanted a better life it's not like she wanted to lose her job. Esperanza helped Marta becuase she didn't think that it was right to send people to Mexico when they had never even lived there. An expierence that changed Esperanza'a thouhgts about Marta is when she saw Marta and her mom holding hands. This changed her perspective becuase she knows what it's like to live without a mother and it makes Esperanza want to help Marta and her mother stay together.

Esperanza helped Marta in this chapter by helping marta get away from the workplace. I know this because on page 209 it says "when you leave, put on an apron and carry the asparagus so you'll look like a worker, just incase someone stops you." This proves my answer because she tells Marta to do this and go there and that proves she is helping her. I think Esperanza did the right decision to help marta because even though she was a mean person Esperanza knows she want's to feed her family and same with esperanza. The experience that helped Esperanza think different about Marta is that Esperanza was being away from mama and Esperanza thinks marta Feels same about being away from martas mom.

Marta gets helped by esperanza in this chapter because when they were striking an officer came and all the strikers went and hid and marta was behind a box of esparrious and esperanza gave her the appron so it looked like she was a worker. She did not want esperanza to tell because then she would get sent back so she did not tell. A quote that proves my answer is on page 208 it says "Please esperanza. dont tell. I can't get caught. I must take care of my mother." said marta. Honestly i think esperanza for sure did not have to do that for marta becuse she did so many things to esperanza that she really did not have to but i think when she said she has to take care of her mother she thought about her mom and how she would feel if she was in this piosition. So esperanza is truly a nice person. I hope that marta will relize that she posibly saved her life and will help esperanza because she shouldnt be mean to esperanza when she messes up and when its her in trouble pretend to be best fiends. Her reason is she thinks no one should be separated from there family and shoul all stay together. She thinks it is just not right. An excpirence that changed her feelings about marta is when she said she needed to keep working so she could take care of her mother made esperanza relize notice that she cares about other people and is not just mean.

Esperza did a HUGE favor for Marta. She did not tell the Imigration Officers that she was hiding. If she told Marta would have had to leave the U.S and go to Mexico. I got my anwser on pg.208 and 209 it says, "Marta was huddled in a corner, holding her fingers to her lips, her eyes begging for help. Please, Esperanza. Don't tell. I can't get caught. I must take care of my mother....When you leave, put on this apron and carry the asparagus so you'll look like a worker, just in case eneyone stops you. Gracias, wispered Marta." This proves that Esperanza helped Marta escape the Immigration Officers. I would of helped Marta escape from the Immagration Officers. She is an Amarican citizen. She shouldn't be sent to Mexico, if you never lived there. Esperanza's reasons for helping Marta were " No one should be seperated from her family." Some experiences that helped Esperanza think of Marta diffrently are.....when she saw how little Marta's camp had. The little children dirty and hungrey. Some people really need to fight for food. They don't want their family's to die. Another reason is when they picked up Marta on the side of the road. They are VERY lucky to have a car, most people don't.

Eperanza helps mama in this by helping her get away from the platform without someone noticing it was her. I know this because on page 209 it says, "when you leave, put on the apron and carry the asparagus so yu'll look like a worker just in case anyone stops you". This proves my answer because it tells you that Esperanza disguised Marta so she could have helped marta because even thuogh she was mean and was a striker , she was just trying to feed her family and take care of her family. I think it was a good discision that Espaeranza helped marta because even though she is s mean person she only wants to feed and help take care of her family. Esperanzas reason for helping mama is know one should leave to be seperated from her family.

I am confused but here it goes:
Esperanza is very kind-hearted and helped Marta by refraining on telling her location to the officials.A qoute that might prove my answer could be found on pages 208 and 209 where it states,"..then she thought about Marta and her mother....and she couldn't imagine them being seperated from each other. And besides, they were both citizens. They had every right to be there."This shows how Esperanza has gone through the pain of losing one parent and about to lose the other and how she does not want Marta to have to go through that horrible state. Also, she does not believe in forcing people to go back to Mexico if they have never been there.I think that Esperanza did the right thing by helping Marta because she was only speaking up for herself and just because the landowners are greedy, money-hungry pigs, people have to get sent to a country they don't belong in.Which isn't at all fair and Esperanza doesn't believe in it.Esperanza's reasoning for helping Marta was that she didn't believe in the forceful ways of the officials and she thinks that no one should ever, ever be seperatedc from their families that way.All this was on page 211.An experience that changed Esperanza's perspective of was when she saw her holding hands with her mother. This changed her feelings toward her because it showed her that Marta can be defiant and independant, but she can also be very loving. This helps her make her decision about ratting Marta out or if she deserved to stay in California.

The effect of the strike on the people still working is that there pay will go down. The author describes the incident with the vegetable crates on pg. 202 because even though Marta was mean to Esperanza but Esperanza was still nice to Marta. No I don't think that this is fair because they have never been to Mexico and they will have no family there to help them. Also I don't think that this is fair because it is a free country and they should not be sent back.

Esperanza helps out in this chapter because she made Isabel feel better about being crowned queen. I can prove this because on page 227 Esperanza says "I want you to have something that will last more than ones day...She lifted the doll from the valise and handed it to Isabel...To keep as your own."I thought that was very thoughtful of Esperanza to put other’s feels first.
I think that Esperanza helping Marta was a good thing because maybe, since Marta is in charge of the strike that she will tell them to calm down a bit and don't hurt the ones not striking because Esperanza saved Marta from the immigration officials. Also think Marta will start to like Esperanza.
I think Esperanza's reason for helping Marta is that even though Marta was mean and teased Esperanza does not mean that Esperanza is going to do something horrible to Marta.
I think that the experiences Esperanza has had have helped her think differently about Marta because Esperanza does not know what has happened to Marta in the past like Esperanza.

Esperanza helps Marta because Esperanza finds her hiding in the barrels from the Asparagus. Esperanza helps her by giving her a apron and a bundle of Asparagus to walk back to her camp with so that the police won't find her. Yes, I think that Esperanza should have helped Marta because Marat was just trying to get better housing and pay. Esperanza helped Marta because she didn't want to have the guilt of turning Marta in and having her go to Mexico where she has never been. I think that the experiences that have helped Esperanza feel differently about each other is that Esperanza saw Marta and her mom walking down the sidewalk holding hands and that made her realize that Marta is not a bad person.

Esperanza helps Marta in this chapter by not ratting her out when she was hiding from the officers coming to send the strikers back to Mexico.A quote that proves my answer is on page 206 when Esperanza says"What will they do with them?"And Josefina answers back"They will take them to Los Angeles, and put them on the train to El Paso,Texas, and the Mexico."This quote proves my answer because it shows how much trouble Esperanza saved Marta. Also,Marta is an American citizen and doesn't have a place to stay.So if she were sent back to Mexico she would have nowhere to stay and no job, which would mean no pay ,as a result she would have no food.
I think Esperanza did the right thing by helping Marta.
I think this because Marta is an American citizen and is legally allowed to be in America,so it is right for Esperanza to help her.If it weren't for people like Marta,Mexicans would still be treated unfair ,or have a bad pay.All Marta was doing was standing up for herself ,which she should not get in trouble for.
Esperanza's reason for helping Marta was that she didn't think it was right for anyone to be seperated from their familys.A quote that proves my answer is on page 211 when it says she couln't stop thinking about
Marta. It didn't matter if Esperanza agreed with her causeor not.No one should have to be seperated from her family."
An experience that helped Esperanza think differently about Marta is Esperanza's first day at the work camp. This experience helped Esperanza think differently about Marta because once Esperanza finds out Marta is striking she thought it was the wrong thing to do,but when she thought nothing could be worse and understood Marta's reason of striking.Another experience that helped Esperanza think differently about Marta is her first day working in the sheds. This is another experience thae helped Esperanza think differently about Marta because it also made Esperanza relize and understand that there is a reason for Marta and the others to srike.

Esperanza helps Marta by not giving her away. Marta is hiding from the immigration officials, but Esperanza finds her. Even though helping Marta, the lead striker, could get her into a lot of trouble, Esperanza takes that chance so Marta may take care of her mother. She even gives Marta a diguise so that when she leaves her hiding spot she may evade the immigration officials. This is on page 209, "When you leave, put on the apron and carry the asparagus so you'll look like a worker..." This quote means that Esperanza is giving Marta props for her escape, to make sure she is safe. I believe that Esperanza did the right thing by helping Marta. Marta does not deserve to be caught and sent back to Mexico. She has never even been to Mexico, and she has to stay with her mother in California. On page 208 Marta proves this by saying "...I can't get caught. I must take care of my mother." Marta was standing up for what is right when she led the strike, and she should be rewarded for that, not punished. Everything Esperanza did to help Marta shows how brave Esperanza really is. That is why I believe that Esperanza should have helped Marta. Esperanza's reason for helping Marta is that she believes that Marta should not be separated from her mother and that she shouldn't be forced to leave the country. Esperanza thought that Marta shouln't have to go through that, however mean or hurtful she acted before. A qoute that proves my answer is on page 211, "No one should have to be separated from her family." An experience that has helped Esperanza think differently about Marta is when she saw the camp Marta lived in and met her mother. That showed Esperanza why Marta was so mean at first, because Marta had always had such a hard life. Esperanza sympathizes with her. Another experience that has changed Esperanza's opinion of Marta is when she saw the affects of the strike and how brave Marta was through it all. That gave Esperanza a chance to forgive Marta for all of the mean things she's said, and they both started to see each other in a new light.

Esperanza helps marta by helping her off the platform.I know this because on page 209 it says "when you leave, put on the apron and carry the asparagus so you'll look like a worker, just in case anyone stops you."It proves my answer because Esperanza helped Marta get away.Esperanza should have helped Marta because she has to help feed her family and even if she is mean and strikes she is only trying to help her family.I know this because on page 208 it says"she wispered, please, Esperanza.Don't tell.I can't get caught.I must take care of my mother".Esperanza's reason for helping Marta on page 201 is that she thinks no one should get seperated from their family justlike she is away from her Mom and Abulieta.Experiences that have helped change Esperanza mind about Marta are that she is getting low wages and is facing hard times paying the medical bills. Also she is away from her mom and she feels bad so she thinks tha Marta while striking is just caring for her mom.

1)Esperanza helps Marta by telling her when she can leave and Esperaza also doesn't rat her out. A qoute that proves my answer is on page 210 Esperanza says,"La Migra is still out front....They will probably leave in an hour when the shed closes."
2)I think that Esperanza did the right thing because, Marta would have gotten revenge in someway. Also now Marta is kinder and more respectful to Esperanza.
3)Esperanza helped Marta because she didn't want anyone seperated from her "family".
4)Esperanza thought differently about Marta because, when they drove her home Marta was very polite and thankful to them. Also by the crated Marta was very kind to Esperanza and said that she's misjudged Esperanza.

Esparanza helps Marta by giving her the apron to help her as her alibi and not ratting her out. I think it was probably a split decision. On one side if she didn't help Marta would be seperated from her mother which is horible no matter how mean you are. On the other hand helping her may mean that she will organize another strike. If Marta organizes another strike it may uproot Esperanzas new work. Esperanza did help Marta because it is really just a no brainer because if she gave into her hate to Marta she'd have to live with knowing she ruined Martas life. I know I could'nt live with that and i'm hoping that Esperanza wouldn't be able to either. An experience that made Esperanza think differently would be when she saw all the fear in Martas eyes. This may have made her remember that Marta does have a heart and is not as bad as she gets portrayed as.

1) Esperanza helps Marta by not telling on her for hiding from immigration. And giving her the apron so she would look like a worker. I know this because on page 208 it says, " Marta was huddled in a corner, holding her finger to her lips, her eyes begging for help. She whispered, "Please, Esperanza. Don't tell..." Also because on page 209 it says, " She handed the apron and asparagus to Marta. " When you leave, put on the apron and carry the asparagus so you'll look like a worker, just in case anyone stops you."
2) I think Esperanza should have helped Marta because it is not fair that Marta is an american citizen and will get sent back to Mexico if Esperanza tells.
3) Esperanza's reason is that she did not want Marta to be seperated from her family. I know this because on page 211 it says, "She couldn't stop thinking about Marta. It didn't matter if Esperanza agreed with her cause or not. No one should have to be seperated from her family."

Esperanza helped Marta in this chapter by helpig her get away from the platform without anybodt noticing it was her. I know this because on page 209 it says"When you leave, put on the apron and carry asparagus so you'll look like a worker, just incase anyone stops you." This proves my answer because it tells you that Esperanza helped Marta.
Esperanza should of helped Marta because it is kind and the right thing to do. Also, Marta needed to take care of her mother too and Esperanza knows how hard it is to do so.
Esperanza's reason for helping Marta is that she needs to take care of her family just like Esperanza is.
Esperanza probably think different of Marta because she realizes that she does not have everything easy in life because her life is somewhat similar to Esperanza's.

Esperanza helps marta in this chapter by helping her get away from the platform without her being spotted. she did this by giving marta the apron and the asparagus for a disguise, i know this because on page 209 it says, "when you leave, put on the apron and carry the asparagus so you will look like a worker, just in case anyone stops you". this proves my answer. Yes i think she should have helped marta, all though she was a big jerk because marta just wants to feed and take care of her family like esperanza... i know this because on page 208 it says "she whispered, please, esperanza. don't tell. i can't get caught. i must take care of my mother". esperanza has felt what it is like to be seperated from her mom. esperanza thinks that marta feels the same way as she she did by being seperated from her mom.

Esperanza helped Marta by giving her a disguise and directions to escape the immigration guards. She did this by giving Marta an apron and a bundle of asparagus and telling her to put the apron on and to carry the asparagus so she looked like a worker. I know this because on page 209 the book says,"La Migra is still out front, she said in a hushed voice. They will probably leave in an hour when the shed closes. She handed the apron and a bundle of asparagus. When you leave, put on the apron and carry the asparagus so you'll look like a worker, in case anyone stops you." this also shows that Esperanza gave Marta advice, too.
I think that Esperanza should have helped Marta because as she said, no one should be separated from their own families. Also, if she didn't help her, she would probably feel bad about it for the rest of her life.
Esperanza's reason for helping Marta is that she thought that no one should be separated from their own family. I know this because on page it says,"but then she thought about Marta and her mother holding hands and she couldn't imagine them being separated from each other." Also, on page 211 it says,"No one should have to be separated from her family."
An experiece that has helped Esperanza think differently of Marta is when Esperanza sees Marta and her mother holding hands. This is on page 192 ;"Esperanza felt a twinge of envy when she noticed that Marta never let go of her mother's hand." This shows that she realizes that Marta cared for her mother very much. Also, it makes her feel envious that Marta held her mother's hand all the time when she was unable to. She probably did not want Marta to feel that way.

I think this because Marta had a reason not to leave because she had to take care of her mom.
